Hampton Named NECC Pitcher of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Elms College senior pitcher Courtney Hampton (Westfield, Mass.) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Pitcher of the Week in softball as announced by the league office on Monday.

Hampton pitched four games during the week and was 1-2 in three complete game outings that included a win in game one against Johnson State College. In 26.1 innings pitched, Hampton posted a 2.66 earned run average (ERA) and issued 18 strikeouts including a week-high six against the Badgers and five in a 1-0 loss to Nichols in Fort Myers, Fla. during the Gene Cusic Classic. This is Hampton's first weekly accolade of the season.
