Buchanon, Lockett Receive All-NECC Honors

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College junior guard Jerry Buchanon (Windsor, Conn.) and senior forward Kenny Lockett (Atlanta, Ga.) were selected to the 2014-15 New England Collegiate Conference All-Conference team, announced by the league office Monday morning. Buchanon was voted to the First Team, while Lockett received a Second Team selection.

Buchanon takes home his first All-Conference award after leading the Blazers in scoring at 18.4 points per game, fifth-most in the conference, while leading the league in three-point shooting with a 42.4 mark. Jerry netted a career-high 35 points in a win at Lesley, and buried a career-high seven three-pointers in a win over Daniel Webster. For the season, Buchanon amassed 461 points, fifth-most in a single season in Elms men's basketball program history.

Lockett wrapped up his Blazers career by collecting his second All-NECC honor. Kenny averaged 14.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, ranking eighth and sixth in the league, respectively. Lockett recorded six double-doubles on the season, including six 20-point efforts. Lockett finishes as second in program history in rebounds with 668, and sixth in points with 1,069.
