Jackie Soucia Named NECC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

CHICOPEE, Mass. - Elms College freshman Jackie Soucia (Belchertown, Mass.) was named the New England Collegiate Conference Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

Soucia contributed in all three games for the Blazers during a 2-1 week of conference play. In a 19-5 win over Bay Path, Soucia registered her first career hat trick while taking six draw controls from the center circle. At Daniel Webster, Jackie added a goal and four ground balls. In a battle at Wheelock, Soucia tallied a pair of goals with an assist. For the week, Soucia netted six goals with nine draw controls, eight ground balls, and an assist.

Soucia and the Blazers will return to the field Thursday afternoon in non-conference action at Massachusetts Maritime. Face off is slated for 7:00 p.m.
