Parks Chosen For NEWBA Weekly Honor Roll

KEENE, N.H. - Elms College senior forward Denisha Parks (Fall River, Mass.) was selected to the weekly honor roll by the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA), announced by the NEWBA Monday morning.

Parks continued to serve as an offensive catalyst for the Blazers, registering a pair of 20-point efforts in a 2-0 week for Elms. Denisha has gone for 20 or more points in 13 of the Blazers contests this season. In a win at Newbury, Parks netted 25 points with 11 rebounds. Denisha registered her third straight double-double, and eighth of the season, in a 95-48 dismantling of Mitchell College. Parks matched her season-high with 27 points, along with 12 rebounds and three steals. For the season, Parks leads the New England Collegiate Conference in scoring with a 22.0 point-per-game average, while ranking fourth in rebounding (9.5) and field goal percentage (45.1).

Parks and the Blazers return to action when Elms travels to Daniel Webster College Tuesday evening for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
