Women's And Men's Swimming Started The Season Last Weekend With Two Meets Over Two Days.

On Friday night, the teams competed in the Blue Jay Pentathlon at Saint Joseph's University in West Hartford CT. With a unique event line up with no entry limits, some of the Blazers raced in the pool upwards to 8 times over the course of the meet. On Saturday morning, the Blazers headed to Gordon College to compete in their first dual meet of the season. The Blazer Women fell to Gordon 136-104 in the early season meet. The Blazer Men won uncontested 11-0.

Even though the season is just beginning, over twenty best times were achieved over the course of the weekend. Cricket Cavar (Vernon, CT), Jacob Connolly (Westbrook, ME), Sarah Cotto (Westfield, MA), Hope Daley (Merrimack, NH), Paul Ferraro (Walpole, MA), Julianne Gordon (Plaistow, NH), Eddie Helldorfer, Ryan Nodell (Monson, MA), Kelly Scianna (Milford, CT), Nick Taylor, and Victoria Wanko (South Yarmouth, MA) all bettered their previous personal best time in at least one event.

The Blazers will return to competition at home on Saturday 11/2 against Saint Joseph's Maine at 12pm.
