Liquori Tabbed as GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week

CHICOPEE, MA - Junior Gianna Liquori (East Longmeadow, MA) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday, March 27th.

The junior posted a .526 save percentage in a 1-1 week for the Blazers, stopping 20 of 38 shots overall.

The Blazers went up against the Rhode Island College Anchorwomen earlier in the week where Liquori saved seven of nine shots in just one half. In complete clears the Junior from East Longmeadow succesfully launched 7 out of 12 total clears in an 18-4 victory over RIC. 

Liquori finished the week on her home field against the Colby-Sawyer Chargers where the goalie denied 13 goals in three quarters of play. The Junior only allowed 3 of their 8 free position shots slip passed her and successfully managed 8 out of 13 clears during her minutes in the crease.

The Elms College women's Lacrosse team travels to Norwich University to challenge the Cadets on Wednesday, March 9th @7PM.
