Women 3rd, Men 4th At Blazer Cross Country Classic

CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Blazer women finished third out of six and the Elms College men placed fourth out of six at the Blazer Cross Country Classic at Chicopee Memorial State Park on Saturday morning.

Emily Guillerault finished the women's 6K course in 28:05 to pace the Blazers, earning a 10th-place individual finish. Tyana Medina (28:55) finished 14th for Elms while Keara Moulton (29:36) finished 17th, Alana Bessette (33:17) finished 31st and Julia Trezza (33:24) finished 32nd.

Ricky Elmer led the Blazer men with a ninth-place finish in 31:43 on the men's 8K course. Donald Cianciolo finished next for the Blazers with a 17th-place finish in 33:44. Robert Culhane and Rich Hernandez also notched top-25 finishes for the Elms men, as Culhane took 22nd in 35:39 and Hernanzed took 24th in 36:00.

The Blazers return to action on Oct. 6 at the James Early Invitational in Westfield, Mass.
