Men’s Volleyball Captures Second Seed in NECC Championship Tournament

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Elms College men's volleyball team under fourth-year head coach Sheila Gisbrecht finished the season 18-7 overall, 9-3 in league action and earned the second seed in the 2012 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship tournament and will take on third-seeded Southern Vermont College (11-18, 8-4 NECC) on Friday, April 13 at 7:00 p.m. in semifinal action.

Following an undefeated regular season, Endicott College (15-13, 12-0 NECC) secured the top seed in the championship tournament and will play No. 4 Daniel Webster College (14-6, 6-6 NECC) on Friday at 5:00 p.m. Both semifinal matches and the championship match will be played at Endicott in Beverly, Mass.

The top four teams qualify for the NECC Championship. Predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.

Semifinal games will be played on Friday, April 13 with winners meeting Saturday, April 14 at Endicott College.
