CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Elms College men's soccer team rolled over visiting Wheelock College, 11-0, in a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) contest at Leary Field Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Blazers move to 2-9 on the season and 2-0 in conference play, while the Wildcats drop to 0-10 overall and 0-1 in the NECC.

The Blazers offense sparked the early momentum forcing lanes down the green forcing the Wildcats defense to be on guard at all times. Sophomore Donald Whittle (Somers, Conn.) produced the first of many Blazer tallies at the 1:42 mark off of a feed from freshman forward Michael Campos (Naugatuck, Conn.) down the right side line. From there the Blazers would continue to dominate the first with Whittle posting a hat trick within the 16 minutes of action off of back-to-back feeds from junior C.J. Dabkowski (Bristol, Conn.). Dabkowski also tallied two goals of his own within the first 13 minutes of play including a beautiful ball to the net off of a sophomore Anthony Romei (Enfield, Conn.) corner at the 5:17 marker.  Sophomore Shaquille Robinson (New York, N.Y.) would notch his fourth goal of the season at the 17:53 tally for Elms off of another well placed ball down the middle by Romei. Blazer seniors Qua'Sean Crowe (Stamford, Conn.) and Michael Lorenzi (Somers, Conn.) captured their first ever collegiate goals in Blazers uniforms to close out the half with Elms holding onto an 8-0 lead.

Throughout the second the Wildcats kept fighting posting three shot attempts to which freshmen Tyler Graves (Monson, Mass.) was quick to collect for the Blazers squad. At the 45:30 mark, Romei captured his first collegiate goal off of a corner kick opportunity on the left side of the green that found a home in the back right of the net. From there, sophomore Colby Macdonald (Bristol, Conn.) posted his first goal of the season, faking out the keeper and forcing the short shot to light up the scoreboard. Senior Kahlil Peters (Hartford, Conn.) would close out the contest for Elms capturing the first goal of his career off of a sophomore Kyle O'Brien (Hebron, Conn.) pass down the right line.

The Blazers edged the Wildcats in the shot column, 47-5, during the contest. Graves made three saves for Elms, while sophomore Gary Broad (Shelton, Conn.) tallied 19 saves for the Wheelock.

Elms face off against Western New England away October 4th for a 4p.m start, while Wheelock will travel to Mitchell October 8th for a 3p.m. start time.
