Men’s Golf Tees Off At The New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship

Brewster, MA – The Elms College men's golf team competed at the (NEIGA) championship over the weekend. The Blazers would finish 16th out of 22 teams.

The New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) has been in existence since 1934 and includes member colleges and universities in New England and New York and is considered to be the oldest and largest college golf tournament. The NEIGA was pleased to have Cleveland Golf / Srixon return as the 'Presenting Sponsor".

Matt King (Feeding Hills, MA) would have the best two day total for the Blazers, scorning (163), followed by John Keegan's (Pittsfield, MA) (168). Josh Keaton (Northbridge, MA) would shoot the low score for one round when he carded an (81) on the opening day, Keaton would finish with a two day total of (168). Frankie Murray (Belchertown, MA) would score a (173), and Christian Pavlakis (Harwich, MA) finish the tournament with a (184).

The Blazers finish up their season with five top 10 finishes which include a fourth place finish at the MESCAC Championship, a second place finish at the MCLA Invitational and Castleton University Invitational, and two first place finished at the Emmanuel College Invitational and the Mitchell College Invitational.
