Elms College Cross Country Teams Race At Western New England University

Springfield, MA – The Elms College Men's and Women's teams competed in the WNEU Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

The Women's 6k race started at 10:30 am and the top finisher for the Blazers was freshman, Margaret Mathon at 26:48. Followed by junior, Julia Trezza at 27:34 and senior, Emily Guillerault at 27:42. Juniors, Tyana Medina and Keara Moulton finished out the team's top 5 runners, at 27:55 and 28:12 respectfully. 

The Men's 8k race started at 11:15 am and the top finisher for the Blazers was sophomore, Ricky Elmer at 29:45. Followed by senior, Richard Hernandez at 31:08 and junior, Donald Cianciolo at 32:48. Juniors, Brendan Curley and Danny O'Melia rounded out the Men's team top 5, at 33:18 and 35:13 respectfully. 

Up next the Men's and Women's teams will compete in the NECC conference championship race on Saturday October 26th (time to be determined) at Stanley Park on Westfield State's Campus.
