ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Four members of the Elms College men's volleyball team were selected to the 2017 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Men's Volleyball All-Conference squads, highlighted by freshman Audrye Alejandro (Las Piedras, P.R.) being named Defensive Player of the Year, in an announcement from the league office Monday. Juniors Gabriel Reis Levy (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Daniel Bondarovsky (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) were voted to the All-NECC First Team, while Alejandro and sophomore John Dunphy (Farmington, Conn.) received All-NECC Second Team status.

Reis Levy picks up consecutive First Team selections after posting 248 kills, 96 digs, a career-high 27 aces, and 26 blocks, while leading the NECC in kills per set (3.59) and points per set (4.3). Reis Levy ranked fifth in the NECC in kills, sixth in solo blocks (13), and eighth in hitting percentage (.233).

Bondarovsky slammed a team-high 258 kills with 167 digs, a career-high 56 blocks and a career-high 36 service aces. Bondarovsky posted the third-most kills in the conference, while leading the league in solo blocks (24), and ranking third in points (334), fourth in blocks, fifth in kills per set (3.07) and hitting percentage (.248), and seventh in service aces and digs. Bondarovsky pairs this year First Team honor with a Second Team selection after his sophomore season.

Dunphy collects his first All-Conference designation after helping orchestrate the Blazers offense, dishing out a career-high 651 kills, averaging 8.14 assists per set, with 115 digs, a team-high 41 service aces, and 32 kills. Dunphy ranked second in the NECC in assists and assists per set, and fifth in service aces and service aces per set (0.51).

Alejandro made a splash in his inaugural season with the Blazers, becoming the first player in program history to be tabbed as the conference's Defensive Player of the Year. In his rookie season, Alejandro snared a league-high 301 digs, averaging a league-high 3.24 digs per set, with 38 assists and two kills. Alejandro recorded most digs in a season since 2008, and the second-most digs in a single-season in program history, behind 328 by Marc Carrasco.

Senior Austin DeCosmo (Southwick, Mass.) was chosen to represent Elms on the NECC All-Sportsmanship Team.
