Rainey Named NECC Player of the Week

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College senior middle hitter Bryson Rainey (Brookline, Mass.) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week in men's volleyball as announced by the league office on Monday.

Rainey earned his second weekly accolade of the season after helping the Blazers to a 1-1 week totaling 46 kills on 82 attempts with just nine errors (.451 hitting percentage). In the process, Rainey became the program's all-time leader in kills in the process and is now just 26 kills shy of reaching the 1,000-kill milestone. He added 14 total digs and three blocks during Elms' 1-1 week which included a 3-2 victory over conference foe Southern Vermont College.
