
Men's Volleyball Garners Third Seed in 2013 NECC Championship Tournament
ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The Elms College men's volleyball team earned the third seed in the upcoming 2013 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship tournament.
The Blazers, led by fifth-year head coach Sheila Gisbrecht, look to defend their NECC crown after winning the 2012 NECC tournament championship and a spot in the first-ever NCAA Division III Championship for the sport of men's volleyball. Elms finished the 2013 season with a 7-5 league record and a 14-13 overall mark.
Endicott College (20-8) garnered the top seed in the tournament and will host No. 4 Southern Vermont College (11-20) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12 in Beverly, Mass. The third-seed Blazers will take on No. 2 Daniel Webster College (15-11) at 8:00 p.m. with that match also hosted by the Gulls.
The winners will compete in the conference title match on Saturday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m.
