Tyler Raymond Named Head Coach For Men's And Women's Track And Field
CHICOPEE, Mass. – Tyler Raymond has been named head track and field coach for the Elms College men’s and women’s teams, Director of Athletics Michael Theulen announced.
Raymond brings several years of Division I experience to Elms, after competing and then serving as a volunteer assistant coach at Central Connecticut State University.
Raymond completed a highly decorated running career at Central Connecticut in 2017 after participating in the cross country and track and field programs from 2012-17. He earned All-Northeast Conference recognition in 2013, ’14 and ’16 and captured two NEC Athlete of the Week honors and one NEC Rookie of the Week honor. In 2016-17 he served as captain of both the cross country and track and field teams at Central.
Raymond has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from CCSU and holds several certifications, including USATF Coaching Level 1 Certification, USTFCCCA Strength & Conditioning Coach Certification, and NCAA Division I Coaches Recruiting Certification.
