Men’s And Women’s Track Open Season At Wesleyan Spring Classic
Middletown, CT – The Elms College Men's and Women's track team opened up its season at the Wesleyan University's Spring Classic on Saturday.
The Blazers had a few things working against them going into the meet. The squad had limited time to prepare and were competing against schools that were already in their second or third meet of the season. This didn't stop Elms from competing at a high level and posting some quality results.
Isaiah McKinley – Jones (Farmington, CT) finished 7th in the 400 meter dash and Robert Jean Charles (Palm Beach, FL) placed 7th in the 100 meter dash for the men.
Sam Wegiel (Greenfield, MA) had a strong performance in the 200 meter dash. Sara Miranda (Springfield, MA) and Amanda Hall (Westfield, MA) both placed in the top 15 in the Javelin Throw.
The Blazers will be back in action on Saturday when the y compete at Smith College in the Carla Coffey Classic.
