Three Players Named All-NECC in Baseball

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Elms College baseball team had three players earn All-New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) honors as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Junior pitcher Curtis LeBeau (Auburn, Mass.) and freshman outfielder Dan McCormack (Shelton, Conn.) were both named Second Team All-NECC, while junior catcher Zachary Dreher (Naugatuck, Conn.) was named Honorable Mention All-NECC.

LeBeau was 3-1 in four starts during conference play and fired two complete-game outings. In 25.0 innings of work, LeBeau fanned nine batters and tabbed a team-best earned run average (ERA) of 2.16. McCormack led the squad with a .348 batting average in 18 league games which included a team-best 24 hits including a pair of doubles, and a triple. He also scored a team-high 15 runs and drove in nine runs. He was 6 for 8 in stolen base attempts and registered a team-high .406 slugging percentage.

Dreher hit at a .297 clip during conference action and pounded out 19 hits highlighted by four two-baggers. He drove in a team-high 13 runners and scored eight runs. Behind the plate, Dreher has thrown out nine runners and totaled a .989 fielding percentage.
