Women’s Cross Country Runner Jennifer Cicero Completes Her First-Ever Marathon

ORLANDO, Fla. – Elms College junior cross country runner Jennifer Cicero (Chicopee, Mass.) completed her first-ever marathon – the Walt Disney World Marathon – on Sunday, Jan. 9.

Cicero completed the 26.2-mile course in a time of 4:47:28, running at a 10:57.84 per mile pace. The course treks through all four Walt Disney World theme parks starting at Epcot, continuing on to the Magic Kingdom, followed by Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios and then back to Epcot for an exhilarating finish.

During the 2010 cross country season, Cicero crossed the line first for Elms in each of the first three meets and clocked a season-best time of 25:30 in the women's 5-kilometer race at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University.
