Women's Lacrosse Comes Back to Beat Lasell on Senior Day
CHICOPEE, MA - The Elms College Women's Lacrosse team hosted Lasell University in conference action for their Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at Leary Field.

PRIOR TO THE GAME
The Elms Women's Lacrosse team hosted their annual Senior Day, honoring seniors Samantha Bonneau (Skowhegan, ME), Gianna Liquori (East Longmeadow, MA), Elise Paier (West Springfield, MA), and team manager Kiley Arsenault.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lasell would start the game with three-straight goals, Elms would quickly respond after junior Greta Frankwicz (Cape Elizabeth, ME) would find an open Paier to score her first of eleven goals in the game. The Lasers would score a goal a few minutes later, but would be followed by a second goal by the Frankwicz-Paier matchup, with Frankwicz scoring the Blazers second goal of the opening quarter. Lasell would score three more goals to close out the first quarter and Paier would score her second goal to bring the score to 3-7 in favor of the Lasers. The Blazers would start the second quarter with six-straight goals by Paier, Frankwicz, and sophomore Jackie Cronin (Smithtown, NY) to take a short-lived 9-7 lead. Lasell would answer quickly and take back the lead with five-straight goals of their own, but Elms would close out the first half with back-to-back goals by Paier and first-year Rachel Dort (Chicopee, MA), bringing the score to 11-12 at halftime.
The Blazers would come out of the gate red hot with four goals in the opening five minutes by Paier, Cronin, and Frankwicz to take the lead 15-13. The Lasers would narrow the score margin, but Elms would score two goals by Bonneau and Paier to close out the third quarter with a 17-16 lead. Lasell would score three goals and shortly take back the lead 18-19, but the Blazers would come back to win the game 20-19 after back-to-back goals by Paier and Cronin in the final four minutes.
