Haley Richard Named NECC Rookie of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Elms College freshman Haley Richard (Monson, Mass.) was selected as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office Monday. This is the second time this season that Richard has taken home Rookie of the Week status.

Richard helped fuel the Blazers offense to a pair of victories last week. Richard netted her 11th hat trick of the season during a 21-5 non-conference win over St. Joseph (Conn.). In the Blazers regular season finale, Richard matched a career-high with seven points on five goals and two assists in the 16-7 win for Elms. For the season, Richard has amassed 60 points on 46 goals, fourth-most in season in program history, and 14 assists.

Richard and the Blazers received a first-round bye in the NECC Championship Tournament, and will host the semifinal match at Leary Field Thursday night.
