Baseball Picked Fourth in NECC Preseason Poll

Mansfield, MA – The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) coaches have selected Elms College to finish 4^th in the 2021 Baseball preseason poll. With the 2021 season being shortened due to COVID-19, the Blazers will only compete against conference opponents.

EC, led by head coach John Raiola, picked up 14 points in the voting. Elms returns 2019 NECC All-Conference honoree Nathan Ayala (Springfield, MA), who hit .364 with 23 RBI in 2019. Ayala hit .360 with three doubles and one home run over eight games in the abbreviated 2020 season.

The Blazers open up the 2021 campaign with a twin bill against Lesley University on Thursday April, 1^st. First pitch is scheduled for 11am at the New England Baseball Complex.
