Cross Country Races at UMass-Dartmouth Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Elms College cross country teams returned to the course at the 2015 UMass-Dartmouth Invitational, hosted on the UMass-Dartmouth campus Saturday afternoon.

The men's squad finished 39th out of a competitive field of 43 teams and 324 runners. Freshman Keith Brown (Hartford, Conn.) posted the top finish for the Blazers, placing 175th with a time of 29:03, his best time of the season. Freshman Weston Asselin (Agawam, Mass.) posted his best finish with 31:29 for 255th, followed by senior Adam Kuzdzal (Chicopee, Mass.) in 260th at 31:36, for his top time of the season. Freshman Nic Kane (Uncasville, Conn.) checked in at 268th with a time of 31:56 in his first action, and junior Joshua Rolon Diaz (Chicopee, Mass.) rounded out the Blazers runners at 308th with a time of 35:54, notching his best time of 2015.

On the women's side, senior Emma Bernard (Springfield, Mass.) recorded her top time for 2015, taking 276th at 25:09. Sophomore Caitlin Hoschtetler (South Hadley, Mass.) was right behind Bernard at 277th with her top finish of the season (25:17), while senior Jacqueline Quetti (Pittsfield, Mass.) was two spots back at 279th with a time of 25:17, her top performance as well.

The Blazers cross country squads will be back in action as they host the 2015 Blazer Invitational at Chicopee Memorial Park Saturday afternoon.
