CHICOPEE, MA, Jan. 24, 2009 - Gordon College senior Kristen Groff set a pool-record in the 200-meter breaststroke and also swam a leg of the winning 200-meter medley relay to help the Fighting Scots defeat host Elms College 88-34 and Norwich University 92-25 in Saturday's women's swimming double-dual meet at Partyka Natatorium.

Groff clocked a winning time of 2:49.74 en route to her new pool record and also teamed with freshman Christina Clark, senior Christine Scanlon and sophomore Alexis Pope in the Fighting Scots winning 200-meter medley relay (2:17.49).

Pope and Clark were both double-event winners for the Fighting Scots, as Pope was victorious in the 50-meter butterfly (33.97) and 100-meter individual medley (1:18.03), while Clark took first in both the 100-meter freestyle (1:04.82) and 200-meter freestyle (2:23.45).

For Norwich, sophomore Dana Wanjon (Reston, VA) won the 50-meter breaststroke (42.63) and teammate Anne-Marie Vayda clocked a winning time in the 100-meter butterfly (1:17.51).

Sophomore Dariana Diaz (Dorchester, MA) recorded Elms College's lone first place finish by winning the 50-meter backstroke (40.03).
