Callahan, Percoski Earn NECC Weekly Honors

CALLAHAN, PERCOSKI HONORED BY NECC

ATTLEBORO, MA, Oct. 14, 2008 - Elms College women's soccer freshman goalkeeper Kelly Callahan (Monson, MA) and junior forward Serina Percoski (Westfield, MA) were named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie and Player of the Week, respectively, on Tuesday, October 14.

Callahan stopped nine shots to help lead the Blazers remain unbeaten in NECC play with a 7-0 shutout victory at Wheelock last Saturday.

Percoski, meanwhile, netted a pair of goals in the Blazers' 7-0 conference home win over Southern Vermont and added a goal in the victory over Wheelock.

For the season, Callahan has posted three shutouts, a 1.64 goals against average and .848 save percentage, while Percoski has scored five goals in 12 starts.
