Chicopee, MA, March 21, 2009- Castleton State College sophomore attack Elizabeth Haggerty (Centerport, NY) and junior attack Stephanie Pearce (Shoreham, NY) each netted a game-high four goals for the Spartans as seven players scored two goals or more en route to a 22-1 win over Elms College on Saturday afternoons New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) game at Leary Field.

Pearce scored three of her four goals in the opening half to give the Castleton State a 12-0 advantage going into intermission.

Elms College freshman attack Katlyn Harrington (Feeding Hills, MA) scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season.

Elms College freshman goalkeeper Holly Braziel (Shelburne Falls, MA) ended the afternoon with 14 saves, as the Blazers were outshot (47-5).

Freshman midfielder Stephanie Paproski (Newtown, CT) netted three goals.  While junior attack Jennifer Macari (Central Islip, NY), senior defender DeeDee Schroeder (Berwick, ME) and junior defender Kristen Rochler (Shoreham, NY) each added a pair of goals for the Spartans.

Elms College returns to action on Tuesday, March 24 when it hosts Smith College.  Game time is 4:30 p.m. at Leary Field.
