WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO NICHOLS, 21-3

CHICOPEE, MA, April 11, 2007 - Elms College junior defense wing Raemarie Josefiak (Springfield, MA) tallied a pair of goals, but Nichols College sophomore attack wing Jessica Porter (Melrose, MA), senior attack wing Stephanie Tenczar (West Springfield, MA) and junior attack wing Jaquelyn Henderson (Portsmouth, RI) all netted four goals apiece to help the Bison to a 21-3 win over the Blazers in Wednesday's non-conference women's lacrosse game at Leary Field.

Nichols snapped a two-game losing streak and improved to 2-3 overall, while Elms College remained winless at 0-5.

The Bison, who had eight different players score, forced 15 caused turnovers and held decisive advantages in shots (44-5) and draw controls (19-6) in Wednesday's victory.

Junior defense wing Caitlin Childs (Hingham, MA) netted her team-leading sixth goal of the year for the Blazers in the loss.

Elms College returns to New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) play when it hosts Worcester State College on Saturday, April 14. Game time is 2:00 p.m. at Leary Field.
