Elms College won for the second time in three games to improve to 3-8 overall, 1-1 NECC. Wheelock fell to 1-9, 1-1 NECC.

Following a 3-pointer by Wheelock freshman forward Jessica Battista (Johnston, RI) that cut the Wildcats' deficit to 13-10, Elms College erupted with a 28-5 run over the final 12 minutes of the first half to take  a commanding 41-15 lead at intermission.

Brogna and Hutchinson were a force inside for the Blazers, as the two combined to go 14 for 22 from the field and also hauled in a combined nine offensive rebounds.

Brogna's double-double was her team-leading fifth this season.

Senior forward Paige Schneider (Windsor, CT) added her first double-double of the year with a solid 12-point, 10-rebound effort in 27 minutes of action.

The Blazers, who led by as many as 35 with 14:28 remaining in the game, held a decisive 48-28 advantage on the boards.
