The Blazers (10-9 overall, 8-2 NECC) extended their win streak to five straight. Lesley, which remained ahead of atop the conference standings, fell to 9-9, 8-1 NECC.

Elms College's 10th win over the year also marked its first 10-win season since it went 11-14 in 2004-05.

Brogna, who scored half of her points from the free throw line (8 of 11) in Thursday's win, registered her 12th double-double of the year and ninth in 10 conference games this season.

Talmadge, this week's NECC Rookie of the Week, has scored 10 or more points in each of the last four games for the Blazers, who outscored the Lynx 27-12 from the free throw line.

The Blazers, who led by as many as 13 in the first half, held a 29-23 lead at intermission. The Lynx, however, tied the game at 33-33 early in the second half then grabbed a 37-35 with 12:35 remaining.

Elms College responded with an 8-2 run capped off by a three-point play by Brogna on a layup and ensuing free throw to give the Blazers a lead they would not relinquish.

The Blazers return to NECC play when they host Mitchell on Saturday, February 7. Tip-off is 2:00 p.m.
