WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS AT LESLEY, 65-48

CAMBRIDGE, MA, Feb. 13, 2007 - Elms College freshman guard Annie Dunnack (Mansfield Center, CT) and sophomore forward Paige Schneider (Windsor, CT) netted eight points apiece for the Blazers, but Lesley University had four players reach double figures en route to a 65-48 victory in Tuesday night's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's basketball game at Cambridge.

With the loss Elms College falls to 7-16 overall, 5-11 NAC, while Lesley University improves to 7-17 overall, 4-14 NAC.

Lesley freshman center Hailee Lowe (Hamilton-Wenham, MA) tallied a game-high 15 points and sophomore forward Kelly Harrington (Toledo, OH) registered 10 points in the win for the Lynx.

Junior guard Courtnie Leakeas (Lowell, MA) contributed 13 points and seven assists while classmate Kaitlin Laquerre (Hudson, NH) added 11 points to round out the top scorers for the Lynx.

The Blazers return to conference play when they travel to Johnson State on Friday, February 16. Tip-off is 8:00 p.m.
