SOFTBALL EDGED BY ALBION, 4-3

FORT MYERS, FL. March 11, 2008 - Elms College freshman pitcher Andrea Ramsdell (Gardner, MA) limited Albion to just two runs over five innings pitched, but the Blazers were eventually defeated 4-3 in Tuesday morning's non-conference softball game held as part of the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Florida.

With the loss Elms College drops to a season record of 2-3 on the season.

Offensively Elms College tallied six hits and scored three runs.  Junior second baseman Kerrie Bowden (Chicopee, MA) and senior pitcher Tammie Tremblay (Springfield, MA) both finished 1 for 2 with a run scored.

Tremblay pitched two innings, allowing three hits and two earned runs in the losing effort.

Elms College returns to non-conference action when the Blazers face North Park later today at 11:00 a.m.  The game is part of the Gene Cusic Classic and will be held in Fort Myers, Florida.
