Softball Advances To NAC Championship Game

SOFTBALL TEAM ADVANCES TO NAC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

NEWTON, MA, May 5, 2007 - Elms College held off a late rally by the University of Maine-Farmington to post a thrilling 7-6 win in Saturday afternoon's winners bracket game of the 2007 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Softball Tournament.

With the win, Elms College now advances to Sunday's 11:00 a.m. championship game to face top-seeded Lasell, which defeated Maine-Farmington 3-1 in the consolation bracket final.

A deciding tiebreaking game would be played immediately following on if Lasell wins the 11:00 a.m. game.
