Men's Volleyball Zaps Lasell 3-1

  MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ZAPS LASELL, 3-1

CHICOPEE, MA., Feb. 1, 2008 - Elms College freshman outside hitters Alberto Bravo (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) and Carlos DeLeon-Gomez (Carolina, Puerto Rico) combined for 43 kills to lead the Blazers to a 3-1 (26-30, 31-29, 30-25, 30-23) victory over Lasell in Friday night's non-conference men's volleyball match at Newton, Massachusetts.

The victory marks the third straight for the Blazers, who improve to a record of 3-3 on the season.

Sophomore setter Ivan Andujar (Carolina, Puerto Rico) handed out 54 assists while junior libero Marc Carrasco (Safford, AZ) chipped in a team-high 10 digs.

Elms College freshman middle hitter Curt Despard (Enfield, CT) tallied four block assists in the match.

Elms College returns to conference play Tuesday, February 5 at Wentworth.  Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
