PROVIDENCE, RI, Feb. 21, 2008 -  Elms College freshman outside hitter Alberto Bravo (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) and freshman middle blocker Curt Despard (Enfield, CT) hammered out a match-high 15 kills to help the Blazers cruise to a convincing 3-0 (30-23, 30-25, 30-26) win over Johnson & Wales University in a North Eastern Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England Division contest at the Harborside Recreation Athletic Center on Thursday evening.

The Blazers won their third straight match and improved to 8-5 overall, 3-2 NECVA New England. The team's eight wins are just two shy of tying the program's record of 10 wins set last season.

Junior outside hitter Marc Carrasco (Tucson, AZ) was solid defensively for the Blazers, as he scooped up a match-high 12 digs in the winning effort.
