JAMAICA, NY, March 14, 2008 - Elms College freshman outside hitter Alberto Bravo (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) hammered out 30 kills and sophomore setter Ivan Andujar (Carolina, Puerto Rico) recorded 57 assists, but Hunter College overcame an early deficit to eventually post a 3-1 (21-30, 31-29, 30-23, 30-22) win over the Blazers in Friday night's non-conference men's volleyball match at 2008 York Tournament hosted by York College.

Elms College had its three-match win streak as it fell to 12-8 overall. Hunter won its 19th straight match and improved to 23-3.

Bravo's 30-kill effort was his second 30-plus kill match of the season. His collegiate career-high of 39 kills came in a five-game loss to MIT on March 1. In Friday's loss to Hunter, Bravo accounted for 30 of the Blazers' 60 total kills.

Andujar's 57-assist effort, meanwhile, was the 14th time in 20 matches he has registered 50 or more assists this season.

Freshman middle blocker Curt Despard (Enfield, CT) finished with 12 kills as the only other player to reach double figures in the match for the Blazers.

Freshman outside hitter Carlos DeLeon-Gomez (Carolina, Puerto Rico) added a team-high 16 digs in the loss.

Elms College returns to action for three matches at the York Tournament on Saturday, March 15. The first match is set for 9:00 a.m.
