Men's Volleyball Falls Short At Emmanuel, 3-2
MEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS SHORT AT EMMANUEL, 3-2
BOSTON, MA, March 15, 2007 - Elms College senior outside hitter Byron Bledsoe (Lake Forest, CA) recorded a team-high 20 kills and senior middle blocker Brian Cunniff (Pittsfield, MA) added 13 kills and seven total blocks, but host Emmanuel College held off a furious rally to post a 3-2 (30-17, 30-18, 26-30, 25-30, 15-5) win over the Blazers in Thursday night's men's volleyball match at the Yawkey Center.
With the loss, Elms College fell to 9-13 overall. Emmanuel won its third straight match and improved to 10-9 overall.
Bledsoe, who became Elms College's first-ever player to be named North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) Player of the Week on Wednesday, added 14 digs, 10 assists and four total blocks in the losing effort.
