MEN'S SWIMMING FALLS TO CLARK, 164-122

SOUTH HADLEY, MA, Nov.  1, 2008 - Elms College freshman Zach LeBarron (Bennington, VT) won three events and also swam a leg of a school-record winning relay to highlight the Blazers' 164-122 loss to Clark University in Saturday's men's swimming dual-meet at Mount Holyoke College.

LeBarron posted first place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle (22.96), 100-yard freestyle (50.78) and 50-yard butterfly (26.46).

LeBarron teamed with sophomore Joe King (Springfield, MA), freshman Garrett Brune (Lakeville, MA) and freshman Tyler Filiault (North Adams, MA) to set a new school-record in the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:47.87).

Brune, King and freshman Albert Reome (Chicopee, MA) combined for four more individual school records in Saturday's meet.

Brune set new school marks in both the 100-yard (1:07.74) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:37.31), King broke his own school record in the 200-yard backstroke (2:19.63) and Reome posted a new record in one-meter diving (202.35).

Senior Jason DiMauro (New Hartford, CT) was victorious for the Blazers in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:46.45).

Elms College (0-1) hosts St. Joseph's (ME) in its home opener on Sunday, November 16. Meet time at Partyka Natatorium is 11:00 a.m.
