Men's Golf Competes In First Round Of Williams Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA, Sept. 20, 2008 - Elms College senior Ben Kwiatkowski (Chicopee, MA) carded a round of 80 as the men's golf team's top individual finisher following the first day of the Williams Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Taconic Golf Club.

Kwiatkowski carded a 38 in the front nine and a 42 in the back en route to his team-leading round for the Blazers, who combined for a team score 356 following the opening day.

Sophomore Andrew Sullivan (West Springfield, MA) shot 43-41 for a solid round of 84, while junior Mike Menard (Westfield, MA) finished with a first round 90 (44-46) to round out the Blazers' top three scorers.

The Blazers conclude final round play at the Williams Invitational on Sunday, September 21. Tee times are slated for 8:00 a.m.
