Men's Golf Second At Rhode Island College

MEN'S GOLF SECOND IN TRI-MATCH AT RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE 

PROVIDENCE, RI, April 11, 2007 - Elms College junior Neil Daigneault (Ludlow, MA) carded a round of 82 and freshman Ben Kwiatkowski (Chicopee, MA) scored an 85 to help the Blazers finish second in Wednesday's men's golf tri-match at Triggs Memorial Golf Course.

Host Rhode Island College finished first with a team score of 321. Elms College and Wentworth each registered scores of 349. The Blazers then earned the fifth-man tiebreaker to finish second.

The host Anchormen received a stellar round of 71 from senior Shawn Rebocho (Albion, RI). Senior Sean DeSilva (West Warwick, RI) posted the second-best score with an 80, finishing nine strokes behind his classmate to help pace Rhode Island College.

Elms College returns to spring action on Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15 at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational.
