How it happened
On the road at Gordon, the Blazers aimed to get their third win of the year. Elms kept the game close early as a trio of Tahquell Cadle, Neilon Bridgman, and Teron Griffin led the scoring attack for the Blazers early. The game was knotted up most of the first half, with neither side willing to give the other ground. Forwards RJ Mayfield and Addison Phifer continued the scoring attack for Blazers with quick layups and three pointers from the outside. This balanced scoring gave Elms a 33-32 lead going into halftime.
During the beginning of the second half, Elms continued to put pressure on the Gordon defense. Tahquell Cadle put on an offensive clinic as hit a couple of jumpers and got to the free throw line. Gordon took back the lead for a couple of minutes, Kishaun Cole hit a couple of baskets for the Blazers, but Gordon responded by going on a run. Elms hit an all too familiar scoring drought in the final minutes, losing their lead and the game to Gordon 83-72.
