Hawes Competes In NEBCA Senior All-Star Game

NEBCA DIVISION III SENIOR ALL-STAR TEAMS ANNOUNCED
Hawes Becomes Fourth Player In Elms College Program-History To Participate

BABSON PARK, MA, April 13, 2008 - Elms College men's basketball senior forward Nate Hawes (New Hope, MN) recently competed in the New England Basketball Coaches Association (NEBCA) Senior All-Star Game on Sunday, April 13 at Babson College.

Hawes, who graduates as Elms College's all-time leading rebounder (621), became the fourth player in program-history to participate in the NEBCA event.

Hawes joins Damien Bradley (2002), Kyle Seyboth (2005) and David Williams (2007) as the other Elms College players who have participated. Head coach Ed Silva and assistant coach Todd Dean both also played as seniors.

"Our entire men's basketball and Elms College families are extremely proud of Nate being selected to play in the game," Silva said. "It is a just reward for a young man who did many valuable things on the court to help us succeed. Nate is one of the greatest competitors I have been around, and his competitive spirit was on display every time he stepped foot on the court."

Boloco has agreed to take on a prominent role this year as a sponsor for the event, which will showcase some of the finest players in the region. There are many stars participating who have garnered All-America status as well as All-Region, All-Conference, and Conference Player of the Year honors. The rosters were selected by several committees made up of area college coaches.
