CHICOPEE, MA, Feb. 3, 2007 - Elms College sophomore forward Malakie Berry (Enfield, CT) netted a team-high 13 points and the Blazers had a season-high seven players reach double figures en route to a convincing 109-81 win over Johnson State College in Saturday afternoon's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men's basketball game at the Maguire Center.

Elms College extended its winning streak to five games and won for the ninth time in its last 10 games to improve to 13-6 overall, 8-1 NAC.

The Blazers, who remained atop the NAC West Division standings, had all 14 players score in Saturday's victory.

Johnson State, which committed 25 total turnovers, lost for the 13th time in its last 14 games to fall to 4-16 overall, 1-10 NAC.

Freshman forward Austin Sylvia (Seekonk, MA), senior guard David Williams (Hartford, CT) and sophomore guard Joe Esile (Milford, CT) finished with 12 points apiece for the Blazers, who forced the visiting Badgers into 19 first half turnovers and led 54-32 at intermission.

Elms College's bench was once again key, as the Blazers' non-starters outscored the Badgers' bench 66-17.

Senior guard Justin Davis (Huntington, NY) added 11 points, including three 3-pointers and junior forward Nate Hawes (New Hope, MN) and sophomore guard Ellis Jones (Roxbury, MA) each finished with 10 points to all reach double figures in the victory.

Sophomore forwards Mike Bosch (Carrollton, GA) and Bobby Shedd (Johnson, VT) each netted a game-high 15 points for the Badgers in the loss.

Elms College returns to NAC play on Tuesday, February 6 at Mount Ida College. Tip-off is 6:00 p.m.
