Six Field Hockey Players Named All-NECC

ATTLEBORO, MA, Oct. 28, 2008 - The Elms College field hockey team recently had six players named All-New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), including two First Team selections.

Sophomore Denise Perks (Blackstone, MA) and senior midfielder Ellen Silva (Palmer, MA) both earned First Team honors.

Perks was third in the conference in both goals (7) and points (15), while Silva added a pair of goals and six points.

Sophomore forward Courtney Gilmore (Mansfield, MA), senior forward Sarah Lapolice (West Springfield, MA), junior midfielder Kaitlyn Graham (Paxton, MA) and junior defender Danielle Gero (Holyoke, MA) were all named Honorable Mention.

Gilmore and Lapolice combined for six goals and 15 points, while Graham added a pair of goals and six points in eight conference games.
