WEST HARTFORD, CT, Oct. 23, 2007 - Elms College junior goalkeeper Katelyn Wasgatt (Worcester, MA) stopped seven shots, but could not keep Wheelock junior forward Jill Chaffe (Bridgewater, MA) from scoring the game winning goal in the 41st minute to help push the Wildcats past the Blazers 2-0 in Tuesday's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) field hockey game at Wheelock.

Wheelock senior midfielder Lauren Widing (Kingston, MA) assisted on Chaffe's game winning score.  Widing tallied her second assist of the contest when Wheelock senior forward Kayla Gillespie (Westport, MA) scored in the 52nd minute to give the Wildcats a 2-0 lead.

With the win Wheelock completes the regular season at a mark of 5-11, 3-5 NAC.  Elms College loses the final regular season game and drops to a record of 2-14, 1-7 NAC.

Elms College will return to conference play in the quarterfinals of the NAC playoffs Saturday, October 7.  Game time is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
