FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO CASTLETON, 8-0

CASTLETON, VT, Sept. 29, 2007 - Elms College junior goalkeeper Katelyn Wasgatt (Worcester, MA) turned away 13 shots, but Castleton junior forward Kayla Blank (Whitesboro, NY) scored twice to help earn an 8-0 victory in Saturday afternoon's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) field hockey game at Castleton.

Sophomore midfielder Molly Fraher (Goshen, CT), and sophomore forward Marie Amaral (Barre, VT) both scored twice in the second half for the Spartans.

Castleton's fifth straight victory moves the Spartans to 8-2 overall, 4-0 NAC. Elms College suffers its sixth straight loss, dropping to 1-9 overall, 0-3 NAC.

Elms College returns to conference action when it hosts Becker on Thursday, October 4. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
