Elms College junior designated hitter Sam Farnsworth (Westfield, Mass.) was 2 for 5 with a three-run homer in the top of the ninth, but Mitchell College’s Kenneth Olszewski (Canterbury, Conn.) drove in three runs and Rafael Garcia (New Britain, Conn.) homered to help the second-seeded Mariners outlast the third-seed Blazers, 7-6 in Friday afternoon’s New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship tournament action.

The Eagles won game one 8-6 in eight innings and the Blazers earned a 2-0 victory in game two and have now set the program’s single-season wins record.
