MIDDLETOWN, CT, April 9, 2008 - Elms College freshman pitcher Matt Wood (Feeding Hills, MA) threw six-plus innings of excellent relief, but Wesleyan University erupted for six runs over the first two innings and went on to an 8-3 win over the Blazers in Wednesday's non-conference baseball game at Andrus Field.

Jacobs and sophomore third baseman Brian Marrero (Kendall Park, NJ) each went 2 for 4 in the loss.
