Clark, Bailey, Molin Spring Blazers to Season-Opening Win At Albertus Magnus

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Elms College women's soccer team opened the season with a shutout road victory at Albertus Magnus on Friday, claiming a 2-0 win over the Falcons.

Alizaya Clark (Springfield, Mass.) opened the scoring in the 34th minute to put the Blazers ahead 1-0. Elms took the deciding 2-0 lead early in the second half, when Jordan Bailey (Monson, Mass.) scored in the 51st minute.

Junior Rebecca Molin (West Hartford, Conn.) finished with two saves in her 24th career shutout.

The Blazers out-shot Albertus Magnus 13-2 in the contest and held a 2-1 edge in corner kicks. Lexie Fenn (Oakville, Conn.) finished with five saves for the Falcons.

Elms continues its season-opening five-game road trip at Nicholas College on Sept. 2 at 2:30 p.m. Albertus Magnus will host UMass.-Darmouth on Sept. 2 at 1:00 p.m.
