Cross Country Competes at Golden Bear Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Elms College men's and women's cross country teams were among the teams in the highly competitive field at the 2014 Golden Bear Invitational, hosted at Western New England College Saturday afternoon.

For the women's team, freshman Sarah Tatgenhorst (Winterport, Maine) posted the best finish among the Blazers' runner, finishing 24^th overall with a time of 20:54. Junior Emma Bernard finished at 117^th with a time of 23:54, freshman Sarah Kaczenski (Northfield, Mass.) was 133^rd at 24:12, and freshman Caitlyn Hoschtetler came in at 140^th with a time of 24:21.

On the men's side, the Blazers finished 18^th as a team. Junior Adam Kuzdzal (Chicopee, Mass.) registered the top finish for the men's team, finishing 122^nd with a time of 32:15. Sophomore Joshua Diaz Rolon (Chicopee, Mass.) was 127^th at 32:32, followed by freshman Shinsuke Tanaka at 129^th (32:47), Corey Tomson at 140^th (33:22), and sophomore David Antwi at 179^th (44:22).

The Blazers cross country squads will return to action for the New England Collegiate Conference Championships on November 1^st.
