Men's Cross Country Finishes Seventh at Blazers Invitational

CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Elms College men's cross country squad posted a seventh-place finish in the 16-team field at the 2014 Blazers Fall Invitational, hosted by Elms at Chicopee Memorial State Park Saturday afternoon.

Junior Adam Kuzdzal recorded the top finish among the Blazers runners, finishing 38th overall with a time of 33:39. Sophomore Joshua Diaz Rolon and freshman Shinsuke Tanaka crossed the finish line simultaneously, finishing 52nd and 53rd respectively, with a time of 35:51.  Sophomore Joey Sirois finished 74th at 39:34, and sophomore David Antwi was 80th with a time of 42:20. Former Blazers Ben Kronlund (84th) and Mike Desmond (96th) competed as Elms alumni in the event.

The Blazers recorded a team score of 205 for seventh. Trinity College won the Invitational with a score of 21, followed by Massachusetts Maritime (55), Johnson & Wales (63), Lasell (129), MCLA (155), Regis (181), Elms, Hampshire (210), Mount Ida (9), Newbury (264), and Daniel Webster (291). Springfield Tech, Lesley, Holyoke, Elms Alums, and Framingham State posted incomplete results.

Elms will return to action at the James Early Invitational, hosted by Westfield State on October 11th.
