Men’s Cross Country Tabbed Third, Women’s Cross Country Selected Fourth in NECC Preseason Polls

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Elms College men's cross country team was selected to finish third, while the women's team was chosen to finish fourth in their respective 2011 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Preseason Polls as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Voting for the preseason poll is conducted by each member head coach.

Eighth-year head coach Amy Lane returns to the helm looking to build off a successful 2010 season for both programs. The Blazers' men's team crossed the finish line third at last year's NECC Championship, recording their best team finish of the year and highest ever conference championship finish. The women's squad also raced to their best team finish of the campaign (fifth).
